The problem
Sausalito CLE is two businesses under one brand: Sausalito on Ninth, a restaurant on East 9th Street in downtown Cleveland, and Sausalito Catering, a separate catering operation serving weddings, corporate events and group tours. The two audiences (a diner planning a lunch, and someone booking a wedding reception a year out) needed to find their own path through the same site without one crowding out the other.
Scope delivered
- A full website design and build, structured around the two sides of the business: a Sausalito on Ninth restaurant section with the current menu, hours and reservations, and a separate Sausalito Catering section for weddings, corporate events and group tours.
- Online ordering set up for both sides: restaurant takeout ordering for pickup during business hours, and a separate catering ordering flow for catering-specific orders.
- A dedicated Venues section covering the two spaces Sausalito operates directly (Ariel International Center, including the Ariel Pearl Center and Grand Ballroom, and Penthouse on Ninth), plus the wider list of Cleveland-area venues Sausalito caters at regularly.
- A brand-consistent dark, editorial look built around the restaurant's own photography and its two long-standing industry awards, The Knot Best of Weddings and the WeddingWire Couples' Choice Award, both held for 13 consecutive years.
Technical approach
Built on WordPress so the Sausalito team can update menus, hours and specials themselves without needing a developer for every change, with the site's structure and page templates set up by Klyvora around the client's real menu, photography and venue information.
Where things stand
The site is live at sausalitocle.com, with both the restaurant's takeout ordering and Sausalito Catering's ordering live and taking orders.
